What is Human Resource Management?

What is the difference between HRM and HRD?

It includes activities such as recruiting, selecting, training, developing, and rewarding employees. HRM also includes managing employee relations, performance appraisals, and compensating employees.

Human resources development (HRD) is the process of improving the skills and knowledge of employees. HRD includes activities such as training, development, and learning. HRD also includes activities such as succession planning and workforce planning.

What is a Policy in HR?

A policy is a set of guidelines that outlines the expectations and acceptable behaviors of employees in a given situation or context. Policies are often created in order to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and in accordance with the organization’s values. Additionally, policies can provide clarity and consistency to employees when making decisions. In the context of human resources, policies can relate to a variety of topics, such as workplace conduct, hiring, firing, and workplace safety.

What are the functions of HRM?

There are many functions of HRM, but some of the most important ones are recruiting and selecting employees, training and developing employees, providing performance feedback, and administering compensation and benefits. HRM also oversees employee records and compliance with labor laws. By performing these functions, HRM helps to ensure that the workforce is qualified and capable of meeting the organization’s goals and objectives.
